This two (2) hour CLE lunch program titled “The GAP Act: Guarding & Protecting Our Vulnerable Adults and Minors” will feature Randy Pierce, Director of the Mississippi Judicial College and co-chair of the Commission on Guardianship and Conservatorship, and Richard Courtney, Certified Elder Law Attorney and co-chair of the subcommittee on estate guardianships. They will be discussing the new Mississippi GAP Act, which passed by the Mississippi Legislature this year and will become effective January 1, 2020. Practice Tips and Forms will be provided by Hinds County Chancellor Tiffany Grove. Cost is $30. This event is co-sponsored by the Capital Area Bar Association (CABA) and the Estate and Trust Section of the Mississippi Bar; members receive a $5.00 discount (CABA and Estate & Trust Section Members pay only $25). Registration begins at 11:00 am, no pre-registration is necessary. Pay at the door by either cash or check (made payable to “CABA”). Attorneys who attend the CLE session will receive two (2) hours of CLE and lunch at the Capital Club.
