CABA presents: Shaking Things Up: A View from the Bench, the Bar and Beyond
Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Capital Club in Jackson, Mississippi
Capital Area Bar Association is a more than 80 year old organization of lawyers in metropolitan Jackson, Mississippi. CABA is the largest local bar association in the state of MS. Members include state, local and federal judiciary, government/non-profit, small, solo, mid-size and large firm lawyers. This year's theme is Leading & Inspiring Positive Change in Our Community and Our Profession. This CLE will enhance your business and professional development as we tackle issues regarding our diverse legal profession including effective communication across generations, personality styles, and addressing implicit biases.
Everyone possesses some implicit biases, which are positive or negative stereotypes or assumptions that we have that are automatic and unintentional. We will discuss awareness of these biases as they relate to gender, culture, race, and personality style biases and strategies to reduce the influence and negative impact of these biases in our decision making and interactions as leaders in the profession and our communities.
CABA proudly partners with the CABA Women's Initiative, CABA Diversity Committee, Magnolia Bar Association, Mississippi Association for Justice Women's Caucus, Mississippi Women Lawyers Association and The MS Bar Litigation Section for this great event!
